I am invisible, unseen. I observe and support.
This was not the case when I was younger, I tell
myself. The power to be invisible, is not really a
power, unless you choose it. I don’t take selfies
often, but when I do, I am sometimes surprised
that I am still here. What surprises me, as well, is
that I look more like a ‘they’ and less like a ‘she’. I
am, like the term, androgynous, becoming dated.
I don’t really mind, age gives me empathy for
others who don’t quite fit the picture either
